Profile

Prof Michael Lyu is a world-renowned scholar in software reliability engineering. His research areas include software reliability, distributed systems, services computing, machine learning, and AI, where he published 660 papers with 53700 Google Scholar citations and H-index of 113 (as of end of 2023). He made significant contributions on software reliability modelling, measurement, analytics, and applications, with wide impact to academia and various industries including software development, telecommunications, mobile app vendors, Web technology providers, and cloud computing platforms. He is the only recipient with four international awards: ACM Fellow, IEEE Fellow, AAAS Fellow, and IEEE Reliability Engineering of the Year. He also received the 13th Guanghua Engineering Science and Technology Award.
