Profile

Professor Jin-Guang Teng received his BEng degree from Zhejiang University in 1983 and his PhD degree from the University of Sydney in 1990. Over the past 29 years, he has conducted research on a wide range of topics within the broad field of structural engineering, including the use of fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites in civil engineering and steel & thin-walled structures. He has authored/co-authored over 170 SCI journal papers, leading to some 4,800 citations and an H index of 36 according to the Web of Science. His work has impacted significantly on relevant design guidelines/codes in Australia, China, Europe and the United States.Professor Teng is a Co-Editor-in-Chief of the international journal “Advances in Structural Engineering” and a member of the editorial boards of 7 other SCI journals including “Engineering Structures”,”Journal of Composites for Construction”, and “Thin-Walled Structures”. Professor Teng has been a member of the Scientific/Advisory/Steering Committees of some 120 conferences, and has delivered keynote/invited presentations at over 60 conferences/symposia.
